MEC carries message to Midwest Transportation and Land Use
Meeting
| MEC
staff members Brad Garmon and Ben Stupka challenged participants
of the 10th Annual Midwest Transportation and Land Use
Reform Meeting to consider the implications of transportation
systems on stormwater management. Hosted by the Environmental
Law and Policy Center, the March 24th meeting in Chicago
brought together advocates from several Midwest states,
including Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin.
At the meeting, MEC staff also presented several Smart
Growth advances, including Context Sensitive Solutions
and the "Preserve First" program being undertaken
at the Michigan Department of Transportation. |
