(TIMOs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)?
A:
These typically large companies are organized specifically
to acquire and manage land and timberland assets on
behalf of investor groups such as pension funds and
endowments. Such entities have turned major profits
for their shareholders by undertaking strategic logging,
land development and liquidation programs on their vast
land holding in the West, Northeast and South.
