Over 200 guests attended an April 24 reception at the Michigan Historical Center in Lansing to mark the release of a biography of former Governor William Milliken sponsored by MEC.

Co-hosted by the Michigan Political History Society (MPHS) and MEC, the event attracted legislators, veterans of the Milliken Administration, students of Michigan political history and environmental advocates to celebrate the book and the contributions of William and Helen Milliken to Michigan's environment.

MPHS President David Murley, MEC President Lana Pollack, author and MEC Policy Consultant Dave Dempsey and former Governor Milliken all spoke briefly at the event.

Every copy on hand of William G. Milliken: Michigan's Passionate Moderate was sold. The Millikens themselves autographed books late into the evening.
