ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Drink wine!
Save Michigan's environment!

We wouldn’t be doing our jobs if we didn’t encourage folks to consume Michigan-grown products that benefit local businesses and don’t require long, polluting transits, right?

So we can with clear conscience suggest Leelanau Cellars’ Great Lakes Red wine, a lively, full-bodied treat grown on the Leelanau Peninsula.

Oh yeah, a portion of the proceeds of the sale from each bottle of Great Lakes Red will go to the Michigan Environmental Council, thanks to Bob Jacobson, president of Leelanau Cellars.

“The reason that Northern Michigan’s winemakers, and our consumers, have fantastic grapes and a variety of wonderful wines from which to choose is due to the lake effect and the rich soil conditions in the state, both of which are directly correlated to the protection of environmental resources,” he said. “As people who work, play and do business in Michigan, we all need to do our part to provide proper stewardship of our state’s natural resources.”

Leelanau Cellars Great Lakes Red is available at Meijer stores and other retailers and can be purchased from the winery’s web site: www.leelanaucellars.com.
