Oil and Gas Accidents Threaten Health

An updated report by Dana Schindler chronicles 53 hydrogen sulfide and/or “petroleum distillate” releases in a 30-mile stretch along the Lake Michigan coast of Manistee and Mason Counties. This report also documents that the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and other state agencies have ignored the plight of exposure victims and are not utilizing the results of recent medical research regarding the toxic effects of H2S on human health.
